The holidays has me out of whack.

I finally finished shopping for Christmas. With a list of over 20, I thought I'd never be done, (and most of that list was neices and nephews). But I'm glad- my credit cards can breathe again LOL.

So I'm trying to finish the Loose ID Rags to Riches theme story, Loose ID wanted me to write. It's titled Lust At First Sight. A broke secretary gets an offer from a man she can't refuse. What's a girl to do, but accept? You can read the blurb at www.jadejames.com

I enjoyed the intense interaction between the characters. The emotional journey that Cadie takes to figure out and deal with her feelings for the brothers is a good read.

Heath and Wyatt’s Hostage is a hot read with characters full of emotion. Jade James writes a fast paced and intriguing story keeping the reader interested all the way until the end. With equal amounts of action and romance this is a book that many will truly enjoy.

Thanksgiving

It was pretty good. Thankful to be surrounded by most of my fam, though some can be irritating as hell.

But on the same note, found out that someone is seriously ill. Heartbreaking really. But I'm trying to keep busy, and not focus 100% on that. Because if I do, that's when you let the sadness, depression, and the feeling of no hope in the situation truly sink in.

I hope everyone had a great holiday. I've been asked by Loose ID to come up with a novella for the 2010 season, for a specific theme. That's all I'm going to say on it, because well nothing's set in stone yet.

But I've put Desire of Three aside, to work on this yet untitled story.

Thanksgiving can be pretty stressful.

Though its a time for giving thanks, one could lose their mind being surrounded by their family.

Me? I tend to stay away from them completely, with the exception of one sister and one brother who are sane. The other members, not so much.

So I'll be heading off to my hubby's aunts house. They're just as insane, but its a diffrent kind, a better kind, and it doesn't stress me out one bit.

Christmas is a similar scenario with most of my time, spent at home with hubby and the kids.

So here's wishing everyone has an awesome Thanksgiving and an awesome week. Spend it with your loved ones...at least those that don't make you want to run away :-)

Life is full of frustations

That I've found to be true on a daily basis. Family being the first. And not my immediate family (like my hubby, kids) no...More like siblings who refuse to grow up and take charge of their own lives.

Something you probably didn't know about me. I graduated High School, did the college thing, and the first job I took, I saved for a few months. And in about 3 months, I moved into my little one bedroom apartment, and never looked back.

But life would be too easy, if my two older siblings would've taken notice of that and followed in my footsteps. And I'm not against anyone, going back home and staying with their parents, because their parents need them, or staying temporarily until your back on your feet.

But to suck my parents financially dry? Especially when your mom is showing signs of dementia, and your dad is leaning towards 80?

You know when you get that "I don't care feeling" anymore, because you've done all you possibly could? That's where I'm at. That's my stage in life.

So I concentrate on my Joshie bear, and my baby girl, and my hubby and what I do have in life. Which is awesome...absolutely awesome compared to what our world has become.

Appreciate what you have. That's my new motto!

September practically ran from me. The days swept by so fast. James and Jade started their new school, and they don’t seem to be liking it. I’m hoping that’ll change.

Been thinking about getting another Persian cat, but I’m pretty sure I won’t find another Fluffy. I’m actually amazed at how her death affected us…or I should say me. I was never an animal lover, but I miss her tremendously. I’m thinking about getting another pet, but James got sick the other day. Bad allergies, and I don’t want another cat (dander and hair) to affect him.

On the writing front; just got word earlier this week from my new editor Maryam (who’s great btw) that Heath & Wyatt’s Hostage will release November 10th. So look out for it at www.loose-id.com

Cobblestone Press is supposed to release Binding Saber sometime in October. It hasn’t been confirmed yet, so when I know more I’ll let you know more.

In the national news front-Indonesia has suffered a devastating earthquake which has killed over 1000 people, and Leone, American Samoa was hit with a tsunami that killed hundreds. A super Typhoon is set to hit the Philippines tomorrow-and flash floods have killed 300. It makes me cry to think of how many people/children lost their lives. I’ll say a prayer to the families that have lost their loved ones, and to the survivors who will need to be strong to rebuild.

Fluffy-the sweetest persian cat.

It's a hard thing to type, so I'll trying to keep it short. On Wednesday night 8/19/09, Fluffy started getting sick. By midnight, she had already vomited 5 times. I was praying it was just a virus, but on Thursday morning, I woke up and went to the bathroom, Fluffy wasn't moving in the bathtub-which she was laying in, and she had never done that before.

She wakes up finally, but doesn't have energy to move. Fast foward to us taking her to animal hospital, she has kidney failure and an enlarged heart. I cried alot, which is rare because I barely show emotions, and now I knew that my cat had snuck into my heart. I've had her for almost two years.

My kids are crying, my heart is broken. What are my options? Spend 3 to 5 thousand dollars, hoping that she gets better, though there is a slight chance of that. Or put her to sleep. Decison made, I'll put her to sleep, because all she does is cry and I don't want her to suffer.

So in about 4 hours, I'll be saying my goodbyes with my husband and kids beside me.

If you knew who I truly am, you'd know that I do my best to hide emotions (hey-I'm not perfect :-) and this is really so hard.

Just had to vent. Love you fluffy.

Wow it has been a while.

Hope everyone's has had a lovely summer so far.

I know I haven't updated my blog in a while, and that's a bad thing. But life has been a little hectic. Hubby and I finally found a home that we love, and we put in an offer 3 weeks ago, and we still haven't heard a word from the seller. I dread starting all over again. Perhaps, we will in September, if we haven't heard anything by then.

On the family front, I'm a little nervous that James and Jade will be starting a new school this year. He's going into 4th grade, and she will begin 1st. They are two totally different kids. He's shy, and she's fearless. Sigh. I just hope they can both do well. He sometimes doesn't study, and almost always gets hundreds. She studies, and has problem focusing. Two totally different personalities, both brilliant in their own ways.

On the writing front, Naught Fantasies has gotten two great reviews which I'll feature in September's newsletter. Heath & Wyatt's Hostage was accepted by Loose ID. I also have a new editor, which I can't begin to start working with. Heath & Wyatt's hostage will hopefully be finished by the end of this month.

Binding Saber has been submitting to another epublisher. I will let you know once I hear any news. This is the sequel to Hunting Hawk.

And after I get these two done with edits, covers, and all that, I will either begin working on Alex, Lucian, and Haley's story (sequel to Kidnapped), or finally working on Selma's story (sequel to the tracer and a spanish revenge.) OMP will never make amends.

Recently a poster at my blog commented on my one woman fight with OMP two years ago. OMP seems to have gone under the rock they crawled out from, because their website is no longer up. Am I glad? Yes. No one deserves to be cheated for the hard work they put in. My only wish is that the owner of OMP never be allowed to open an epublishing company ever again.

Rumors have been flying around that Noemi (the owner) is now writing under the guise of Essence. It appears that this rumor is valid, because one epublisher called her out in a lie, and stated that "Noemi" even dared to give the epublisher an invalid social security number.

Personally, it stuns me at what Noemi would do nowadays. If she continues with these lies, the way the word revolves--she will soon be caught and hopefully legally prosecuted for providing false information, false ISBN numbers and a host of other illegal activities. I don't wish anyone bad- but my ultimate hope is that she sees the error of her ways, and is able to walk away.

So I'm heading up to my aunt's house this Saturday for a barbecue. I bought hot dogs, Italian sausages, and chicken kabob's to grill. I also have to make a tray of food. But I'm glad I'll be going. My aunt understand me, and accepts me for who I am. She's got to be one of my coolest relatives.

I've been figuring out if I'll have the "nerve" to submit to another epublishing company. I've been burned by 3 so far, and as I mentioned before I think that's why I stay with the two main ones I have now. I'm thinking about it, weighing the pluses and negatives.

In the mean time, I just signed a contract for FORCED FANTASY to be released later this year at Cobblestone Press. I also signed a contract for Truth, Dare, or Three-way with Loose ID, and A Spanish Revenge will debut later this year at Cobblestone Press.

My baby girl who's 5-Jocelyn fell down on Friday and I had to run out of work to take her to the hospital. Spent 5 hours in the ER, and she ended up getting 5 stitches on the outside of her lip and 3 on the inside. Since then, it already looks like she's healing nicely, BUT it appears she may have done damage to one of her front teeth when she fell. Which means this Friday, she'll be at the hospital again. The doctor will take out the stitches, and I'll be requesting x-rays for her tooth. This was my first big "bloody" dealing with my daughter (my son has not thank god injured himself to that extreme), BUT my stomach cramped up and I cried seeing her in so much pain. She's a trooper though who only cried when they gave her a needle, and wanted to speak while they were stitching her up. LOL

And I'm almost done with Truth, Dare, or Handcuffs (I'd say 3/4 done.) But it's proven to be a hard book to write, filled with a lot of emotions. It isn't the man that left the woman this time, it's vice versa. And yes, there is a third involved.

Nothing else is new in my life. Just started early shopping for school stuff, and decided to put the kids in private school Already spent about $1,400 in fees just signing them up and paying the first month. This is for two kids, but it is expensive compared to other schools. I have compared, but this school is located in a convenient area.

Truth, Dare or Three-way. BUT I pitched an idea to them-sort of an anthology, and now I have to finish the idea I pitched. LOL. I'm well on my way to that.

I'm on vacation next week-yay-get to spend time with my kids. So other than finishing final edits for my release on August 26 KIDNAPPED (Loose ID), I will not be writing. I will be concentrating on the joys of life, Jade and James and we'll have a blast at the beach, park, the zoo, sesame place, and a party to go to.

And some more good news. Hopefully in August, you'll see my new website debut created by the talented Jacque at www.code718.com I've already seen mock ups and I'm very happy with her work. Her rates are very reasonable, compared to other sites that charge an arm and a leg for creating a site. Check her out, you won't be disappointed, and she also does blog templates.

But I'll be back at it on August 4th :-) and hopefully can get the anthology done.

The sexual scenes were hot, but they really did take a back seat to the storyline, which was a welcomed change from the usual sex for the sake of sex stories I have been getting recently. Heath’s character was interesting and I will be looking forward to reading his story. I have to say, this is a great summer read, and I highly recommend Stone’s Prisoner to anyone.

I'm ready to burst. I get like that when I'm taking too much on. Alot of it is personal stuff (family), but I have to make myself remember that as long as my kids are health and happy, everything else can take a back seat.

July 4th was filled with family drama and chasing after my kids and neices and nephews in a backyard, making sure they stay away from the barbecue area. It's alot of work, while you're still trying to have fun. But we did.

So I'm in the works of talking to a friend about redesigning my website. I want a fresher, easier to navigate look, but you won't believe the costs of redesigning a site. I think some of the prices out there are ridiculous. But luckily, I know a few people who are reasonable.

Personal feelings.

Family. Can't live with them but can you live without them?

It's a hard question to answer, especially if you there for this person, and have done everything from buying clothes, to purchasing food, ensuring that at least the kids eat. I could see the point in that. Food is nothing to quibble over.

But there is a certain point where you have to cut ties, because of the bad decisions made by this person. And the fact that this person blames you for everything "wrong" in their life, shows that they are not ready to accept the fact that they are the ones at fault.

Showing emotions isn't always an easy thing. Being disconnected with a family member, may or may not hurt, because they are grown, and make their own decisions. BUT I will say that it hurts to know that their kids will be effected.

you could imagine the way I'm feeling today. Completely shitty. They gave me codein but that just made me nauseas.

On a good note, my son is 8 today. Yay! We have a fun weekend planned for him, besides taking him out to dinner to his favorite restaurant (no it's not McDonald's LOL) and buying him a cake today. His father will take him to see Kung Fu Panda tomorrow and Chuck E Cheese, and on Saturday we're all going to an amusement park in Long Island.

And I wanted to touch on something. It truly amazes me and I shouldn't be amazed, but it does amaze me how cruel and vindictive people can be when it comes to hurting another person's feelings. Do they actually sleep better at night? What thoughts are running in there heads while there making jest on another person's problem?

Horrible. Complete and utterly horrible.

Tragedies that have rocked Myanmar & China

God bless all of the victims of the two recent tragedies that have rocked Myanmar and China.

It is a horrendous situation that has impacted many lives across the globe. My grandmother once told me that the worst thing that can happen to you, is seeing your child die before you go. And seeing the faces of pain that are experiencing that lost, my heart goes out to each and every one of you. I cannot pretend to know how you feel, but seeing the pictures alone brings tears to my eyes, and breaks my heart.

I believe only the Lord knows when our time has come, but tragedies such as these force people to realize how short and precious life is. I have two children, a 5 year old girl, and a soon to be 8 year old boy. I cannot imagine life without them. I cannot imagine an existence without them. But through the Grace of God, I hope that each and every one that has lost someone, can find some peace.

Asthma sucks ass!

Since I've had pneumonia, the asthma hasn't left. I wake up twice a night to use the inhaler. I'm going to have to go to the doctor again, and see what they can do. It's been years since I've had to live with asthma on a daily basis. And I suspect it has more to do with my cat (which I purchased in Nov.) than anything else. But I don't want to get rid of Fluffy. She's a Persian-tuxedo colored and the sweetest thing in the world. :-( We'll see what happens.

Just heard from my lovely editor Barbara that Stone's Prisoner was accepted by Loose ID! Yay. It's been 2 years since Lila was written, and now the sequel will be officially arriving soon. I also got word that Kidnapped, will release in August. Forced Fantasy was submitted, and I'm still awaiting news on Truth, Dare, or Three-way. I'm working on 2 releases now, Desire of Three and Stalking Cara.

An interesting topic on some of the review/reader blogs have come up. How important are reviews?

Well in my opinion, reviews are important whether there good or bad. Readers do buy books on reviews and they do up sales, when you receive a good one.

But as a writer, you must deal with the good reviews as well as the bad ones. Everyone is going to have an opinion on your book, even a reader emailing you directly. It's what you do with that opinion that matters. Be graceful! Put yourself in the reviewer/posters position. Make sure you're response is fair and to the point. Do not criticise someone for sharing their opinion.

On other news, my website needs a huge overhaul. Unfortunately, since my website is hosted by yahoo geocities, my options are limited. I'm going to contact code 718, to see if she can help. I'm working on it, I promise. Not too many people want to deal with it because of the hosting. :-)

March whizzed by...and April is here!

I haven't been around for days-literally. I go to the doctors for an ear infection turns out I had to stay for 2 days-I had strep with pneumonia in both of my lungs. So I've been prodded and poked, and the stay at the hospital was horrendous. My daughter was crying, I missed both of my kids, but the worse part of it was when I happened to be up at 3am Sunday morning and a deranged man walks into my hospital room. He proceeds to lie down my bed (after I jumped off and ran to the nurses station). Very safe to say he had the wrong room. I'm feeling better now, though still slightly weak. I'm on meds for the whole week and today is my first day back officially online.

I'm searching for an apartment, a bigger one for me and my kids. So besides newspapers, real estate companies, I go on www.craigslist.com and I see a 2 bedroom, pics were included, and it looked great. Next I get an email from the owner, stating that she lives in Maryland, and that she'd be willing to send me the keys and lease, if I send her the money.

I asked, "Do I look like I got "fuck me" tattooed on my forehead? Really do I? Because you don't live in NYC all your life, and learn a scam or two.

It actually felt good to yell that out. Now I will say this, if anyone out there falls for this type of scam, then you know what you do have -okay I'll be nice, and just say this, I would hope no one out there would fall for something like that.

In other personal life news, my sister got a tummy tuck yesterday. She has 3 kids, and looked great-her stomach was way flatter than mine. Anyway, glad she came through okay, but there is no way in hell I will let a doctor cut the fat from my body or suck it out. No way. I'll diet, I'll eat less... LOL.

Writing news-I got a date from Loose ID for Lila's Capture for April 8th and I just finished first round of edits. I haven't received edits yet for Kidnapped, so I'm still waiting. But I am done with edits for Vampire Oracle: Lust which has a relase date of July 4th. Truthfully the waiting kills me, and I have been waiting for weeks on my submission Truth, Dare, or Menage... LOL. I'll just think of other ways to diet, by continuing to wait. :-)

Stone's Prisoner is almost done. I think I'll start on the sequel to Truth, Dare, and Menage after that...or maybe Desire of Three. Book 3 in the Loose ID vampire series.

Still waiting on our refund from the IRS. Waiting sucks, but in the long run could pay out.

Alright, time to sip coffee and see what comes to mind for my next scene.

Family drama, left and right!

Can't say to much about it...but why can't people put the lives of their kids before their own? Is it so complicated? You decided to have the children, take care of them properly. Sigh...

Sorry to bring the drama here. But venting in my blog is as good as any place right?

Kids are sick. And that's a stressful situation. I can't remember a time when I've actually slept a full night.

On the writing front, I'm halfway done with Stone's Prisoner. I haven't been writing as often as I've liked, because of the kids being sick, BUT I want to have it done in 3 weeks. I'm going to concentrate solely on it.

Truth, Dare, or Three-way is still in the submissions phase. I think it will be a while before I hear anything, but the readers will be the first to know. As far as I know, releases will be as follows: (in this order)

Lila's Capture in April at Loose ID
Kidnapped TBD at Loose ID (should be sometime after)
Vampire Oracle: Lust July 4th at Cobblestone Press

My first New Year Post and

that's because I've been extremely busy trying to write. I've got a good start with Stone's Prisoner and been writing a little bit every day.

I've been reading plenty of good books lately. Samhain has released Black Widow by Mackenzie McKade. Great story. You should run over there and check it out. Also the first book of Ashleigh Raine's Talisman Bay Series has re-released.God I love that series, and it's another to check out.

I'm sure many of you have noticed that there seems to be a new epublisher opening up every week. All I can recommend to the new authors and even established ones, RESEARCH, ASK QUESTIONS, GET IT IN WRITING. It's the best thing for you and you're career. Trust me on that.

On the personal front, I've already filed my taxes. Good thing I got that out the way quick, and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

Not much else to mention on the home front. Everything is good and calm just the way I like it and the kiddies are doing excellent.

Also I'll be starting something new in next month's newsletter. A kind subscriber has showed me the error of my ways :-) and I'll just be including the NAME of the winner of my monthly newsletter. Email address will be out.

Truth, Dare, or Three-way is still being considered for publishing. You know the waiting is the hardest part. I'm definitely trying to keep busy not thinking about it.

Also Cobblestone Press-I'm sure I mentioned this will be releasing THE VAMPIRE ORACLE: LUST in print. Yay for me! I can't wait so be sure to look for that in 2008 after it releases in download format.

I hope to have Kidnapped released before then, or not to much afterward. Both of these stories are done. Cobblestone Press has indicated the release of Vampire Oracle: Lust to be in June of 2008. And the wait continues on Truth, Dare, or Three-way.

What am I working on now: Well, as I mentioned before for those of you who have read Lila's Menage, now titled Lila's Capture, I'm working on Stone's story-Stone's Prisoner.

Here's a little unedited snippet:

Valerie Malone glanced at the wall clock quickly. Five minutes to closing time, and then she could go home and soak her tired body into a hot bubble bath. It would relax her muscles temporarily and hopefully set her mind at ease for a few minutes.
She didn’t want to think about her mom. Or the fact that her home and shop had been sold to an anonymous buyer. Though it hurt, Valerie was forced to put her house and business up for sale. But the outcome had outweighed the loss. Valerie had gotten a check from the buyer’s company within a week, and with that money she had been able to place her mom at a Alzheimer’s hospice for the elderly.

But mysteriously enough, with the check came and offer, stating that the buyer would allow her to live at her home, and continue running her sex toy shop for a rental fee. She was to meet the owner on Monday to discuss the terms.

She teetered on the ladder as she placed the last piece of her sex toy shipment on the top shelf. She started her descent as the bell to her shop rang, signaling the arrival of a new customer.

“Mrs. Stone?”

She grimaced at the name. She hadn’t been Mrs. Stone in three months. “It’s actually Ms. Malone.” She turned around, and her stomach fluttered at the sight of the tall dark man standing before her. “How can I help you?”

“My name is Damien Crain. It’s an honor to meet you.”

He spoke like he knew her and Valerie wouldn’t forget such a strong, chiseled face. His blue eyes were a direct contrast to the black hair on his head. He wore his hair unbound, the length reaching to his neck. And there was something familiar about him that she couldn’t quite place. “Do I know you from somewhere?”

Before he could answer her question, her bell rang once more. Who in the hell could it be? Damien didn’t move, so she wasn’t able to see who it was.

“Will you do it?” The voice came from the man standing behind Damien.

Damien nodded once. “Yes.”

Just wanted to let you know that my newsletter will not be releasing this month. It's been a busy month for me with school trips, christmas gifts/parties, and my two side view mirrors being stolen. Instead, it will release in Jan. 2008 and with it, I hope to have more news about my upcoming releases.

Loose ID will be releasing the sequel to the hit story You, Me, and Dupree. It's titled Kidnapped. Here's the blurb:

What's new with me?

Thanksgiving wasn't as bad as I thought it would be spending time with the inlaws. But then I do have to see them for Christmas again and New Years so we'll see.

I'm done Christmas Shopping! Yay and I started in October. It feels good to be done early.

Writing News:

I plan on releasing my newsletter tomorrow. But for a preview, I can tell you this. I've signed a contract with Loose ID for Kidnapped. My editor is working on edits for that and Lila's Capture.

I'm almost done with Vanessa's Threeway. So that's cool. :-)

And then I'll start working on Desire of Three. Book #3 in the Loose ID Vampire Menage series.

Cobblestone Press-The menage Vampire Oracle Lust isn't going to be released until sometime in June 2008 or after. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

I haven't been around in a while. My daughter was sick on Tuesday, 102 degree fever and vomiting. I had to miss out of work and with the holiday season upon us, I haven't been writing as I should. But hey, family always comes first. The rest can wait.

Sahara's Retaliation is releasing tomorrow. Melanie at Cobblestone Press did a great job on editing that story. :-)

Vanessa's Threesome (possibly could be titled Threeway in near future) is at 6000 words. That's going slowly, but still coming along. Binding Saber is also coming along. And after these two stories are done, I'll be working on Lila's Capture sequel, titled Stone's Prisoner.

That's as far as my writing goes. I'm almost done Christmas Shopping. I'm about five gifts away from being done. Yay!. I can't wait to put up the tree. I think I may do it next weekend. The kids love it.

Happy Halloween!

Today is going to be a good stress free day. I'm going to keep repeating that. I get stress easily, hence the ulcer. My day is going to be a full one. I've got work till 1pm, a school party for Jade at 1:15pm, pick up James and cousin Amber at 3pm, and begin the trick or treat. :-)

Jade is Invisible Woman from Fantastic Four. She looked adorable today. They let the Pre-K students wear costumes, but not the older grades, so James had to head into school dressed as a book character. I forgot which character it was-but it required him to wear jeans and a red shirt. Oh well, I've got his "The Thing" costume in my bag.

Writing
Loose ID has accepted Kidnapped and Lila's Capture. I signed both contracts about a week ago. I'm waiting now on edits and cover art for both stories.

I have to make alterations to Binding Saber, so I'm still working on it.

Vampire Oracle will be released in 2008. That is a new m/f/m menage. The cover art is up on my website, so you can check that out.

I'm also working on Vanessa's Threesome. What does Vanessa do when she's trapped in an elevator with two gorgeous men who happen to be her bosses? Well, you'll have to wait and find out. :-)

Desire of Three is the sequel to Kidnapped and You, Me, and Dupree. God, I hope that's not confusing LOL. The reading order is as follows: You, Me, and Dupree, Kidnapped, and Desire of Three. Kidnapped will release late 2007 or early 2008. I don't have an exact date for that yet.

And after I'md one with those three stories above, I will be working on the Lila's Menage now titled as Lila's Capture sequel, STONE'S PRISONER. I know many have been waiting for that.

And here's a recap of what I call a horrible weekend

I was making pasteles-a puerto rican tradition and I cut myself with my new knife set. I cried-because it was deep enough that it needed stitches, but I couldn't go to the hospital because I was with my two kids and getting them dressed and myself would have been even more painful. Right now, the wound is still open, but thank god healing.

And I have mice! I plan to go to adopt a cat sometime this week. The landlord does not want to do anything which leaves me with no choice but to move out of that horrid apt sometime in 2008. If there is one thing I can't stand it's mice. There's one living in my closet-which I surrounded by traps btw, but doesn't want to come out, because damn if the little fucker isn't too smart for it's own good.

Sigh. Writing wise, I have a new cover for Sahara's Retaliation from Cobblestone Press, Lila's Capture was accepted at Loose ID. As far as new stories go,I'm still awaiting news on Kidnapped which I handed into my editor. Vampire Oracle Lust is done-it's a menage, and Cobblestone Press has informed me that it will be released in 2008. I'm working on Vanessa's Threesome right now and continuing my threesome vampire series, with Alex, Lucian, and Haley's story.

For those of you who liked You, Me, & Dupree, Kidnapped is the story of Van, Sierra, and Roman. You will meet Alex, and Lucian in that one :-) Hope that's not confusing LOL.

Off to the Botanical Garden I go, with Jade's first preschool trip. Truthfully, I'm not looking forward to spending the day with a bunch of preschoolers, but hey for my daughter I shall do anything.

And I'm halfway done Christmas Shopping. Figured, I'd start early. Too many hot toys this season. I already spent $70 on Bumblee-the robot that talks from transformers. James is going to be estatic. And the new interactive Belle that will have tea with you LOL, has been sold out everywhere except Amazon.com But be prepared to shell out $60 for the doll, Belle apparently has tea with your kid. Jade is going to love it and yes I spoil my kids-hey their good kids.

I spent the Saturday making pasteles. It came out really good and I made about 30 and there all gone already. But hand grinding them was the worst part. By 5pm Sat. I was dead beat tired so I'm vowing to buy a food processor :-)

Still waiting to hear news about Binding Saber, Lila's Capture, and Kidnapped. Crossing my fingers still, and I do have to say the waiting is the worst part.

I'm almost done with Vampire Oracle: Lust, I'd say about one to two weeks of writing, and rough editing.

Then I don't know what to work on. It may be Lucian, Alex, and Haley's story. You'll read all about them in Kidnapped-the sequel to You, Me, & Dupree. Or I will start the sequel to Lila's Capture, formerly Lila's Menage. Many of you have been waiting for Stone's story. :-)

My daughter and son will be fantastic four characters for Halloween. Jade is going to be Susan Storm-the invisible woman and James will be The Thing.

So I'm off to get some more writing done. Hope everyone has a great day.

“I have questions regarding these legal documents,” Mandy Chadwick stated in a carefully controlled voiced. But she was feeling far from control, and it took superhuman effort to keep the nervousness out of her voice.

“Mandy, just sign the damn papers. You trust me, don’t you, darling?”

She turned to face her father when he spoke. She loved her father more than anything in the world, but it was his fault they were in this situation. His gambling debts had finally caught up to him, and she would end up paying the price.

George Chadwick had been CEO of Venture Electronics for more than thirty years. His father had founded the electronic firm fifty years before. It was difficult for her to give up her thirty percent share. But her father had easily signed away his sixty percent, giving the majority control to the man sitting across from her.
Santana Morales.

She swallowed hard, her throat tight. The last time she’d seen him was in high school, and she’d been head over heels in love with him. She had imagined they would marry someday, settle down, and raise kids. But fate had another plan in mind, and when Santana had decided to take another path, her future had been changed, and her heart shattered.

She buried her thoughts. She wasn’t going to think of that now. Santana had appeared in her life with intentions of ruining it for his gain. Right now, she needed to concentrate on what these legal documents meant and how it would change her life.

“Sign the papers, Mandy. You’re father has already given up his shares.”

She ignored him, refusing to even acknowledge his presence, yet. “There has to be another way out of this,” she said to her father. “If we give him that much control, we’ll never have the opportunity to buy it back.”

“Sign the goddamn papers,” her father shouted. “An attorney has looked them over, and everything is set and legal. I’m in a hole, and this is the only way out.”

She turned to the documents, blinking back the tears that wanted to erupt. She breathed deeply and forced her emotions under control. If only her mother was still alive. She was the only one who could have talked some sense into her father. But her mother’s passing had set her father on a dangerous course, and now she was required to dig him out of the deep hole.

A large, brown hand appeared in her line of vision. Santana laid the pen down then pulled his hand back and waited.

Mandy had no alternative. She signed the contract, drawing the moment out by scribbling her name a little too slowly before sliding the papers forward. She was careful to stay out of reach. She didn’t trust herself enough to touch him, yet, without falling apart.
She watched as Santana Morales picked up the papers and examined her signature. “I now own fifty-one percent of your company,” he stated, putting the documents away in his briefcase.

She hated this…hated being forced to give away her family’s legacy.

“I assure you both, I have no immediate intention of selling the company outright,” Santana stated. “I have plans to stay and run it. Your position here, Mandy, is not in jeopardy. I need a vice president who knows how to run the business. And that is you.”

Mandy licked her dry lips. “I don’t trust either one of you. My father could’ve sold this company to anyone. Hell, we’ve had buyers lined up even when the prospect of selling wasn’t in the cards. You’re here for a reason, and I can bet it isn’t because you’ve developed a sudden itch to manage an electronics firm. After all, what do you know about running a business? Last I read, your love of acquiring companies, and reselling them when you’ve turned a successful profit, was your passion.”

Santana smiled, his white teeth gleaming against his dark skin. “I see you have kept up to date with Fortune magazine. I promise this, Mandy. I have no intention of selling this company. Venture Electronics represents something that was destined to be mine long ago. It will just take a while conquering it.”

His words offered her no comfort. The nervousness in her stomach tripled as she continued to watch him. He looked nothing like the gangly teen she’d fallen in love with. He had to be thirty-six now, even though no signs of aging showed on his brooding face. His eyes were as black as the hair on his head. His full lips tempted her to taste him, and she swiped her own mouth with her tongue in a feeble effort to control her thoughts.

She dropped her gaze to the white, buttoned shirt stretched across his biceps. His muscles strained against the material, giving evidence that he liked to work out. She couldn’t deny the years had been more than kind to him, and the attraction she felt for him hadn’t faded away.

Mandy rose to her feet. “Your words are pretty cryptic, and I don’t have the time to decipher any of it.”

“My intentions will become clearer to you in the future.”

“Like I said, Santana, I have no time for games. You played them well years ago, so I refuse to believe that your sudden appearance has to do with any honorable intentions.”

She turned to her father. “I will see you at home.”

She forced herself to walk out of the room without looking back.

This weekend was a pretty rough one. I woke up with a serious stomach bug. It was horrendous and had me on the verge of tears. I can be such a baby when I get sick. I'm better now though...thank god.

So that's pretty much my weekend, with alot of laundry, cooking, and cleaning thrown in. I did get to read Lora Leigh's Tanner's Scheme. Great book. I enjoyed it and it kept my mind off my tummy.

After all what's the freaking use of having a blog-if you're not going to run free with it?

This summer has been an enlightening one, professionally and personally. Professionally, I'm vowing right now to stick to publishers who have experience in the publishing industry. I as many other authors have been burned by nonpayment.

So I will happily exist in my own little world-with my two favorites: LOOSE ID and COBBLESTONE PRESS. Not to say that in the future, I won't submit to other great publishers like SAMHAIN PUBLISHING and ELLORA'S CAVE. And if you're thinking, why the caps? Because these publishing houses stand out for me. Their editing is extensive, their easy to work with, have great ideas as in terms of promoting you're work. All of these are important to me.

Personally, my Jocelyn who is 4 started Pre-K. Yay! My baby loved it at first but yesterday she had a crying fit. Told me, mommy I want to stay at home. I did want to wrap her up and make sure nothing ever happens to her, so it was just as hard for me to let her go. But all in all, I think she's adjusting well. Joshua my big boy who is 7, is in second grade. I'm proud of him. He goes from the second floor to the first floor in school, and check in on her. Cute...too cute.

Loose ID is publishing You, Me, & Dupree. Look for that out September 18th. Binding Saber will probably be out 2008. For those of you who haven't read Hunting Hawk, that is the sequel. No they do not have to be read in order, but for better enjoyment and character understanding, I suggest you do. :-) I'm working on Kidnapped. It's set in the same world as You, Me, & Dupree.

Cobblestone Press is releasing Winter Captive. That will be released September 28th. Yes, that story was previously published. But this one, has been thank god re-edited by a fabulous editor and the story has been extended. Also releasing sometime in 2008, is the new Vampire Tarot series by Cobblestone Press. My story surrounds Lust. A whole bunch of fabulous authors such as Deanna Lee and Sable Grey will contribute their versions. The series will be issued in print.

As to the other stories that were previously published and pulled (Stalking Cara, The Spanish Tracer Series), I will not be submitting those until they are extensively rewritten. Perhaps, thrown and start fresh all together. I have a vision with these, and I want it to be new and fresh.

We're expecting snow tomorrow in New York, how weird is that when the weather has been 60 degrees or more.

I'll be doing second edits round soon on Eva's Wolf. And Saber's Psychic is on it's way. The coming soon cover is finally up at Loose ID. It's seems forever for me. :-) I can't wait to see what the talented art dept. comes up for the cover for Eva's Wolf.

I'm concentrating on one book at a time and taking thing slower than I did last year. I realize I began to write not for the $$ or even to make a "name" for myself, But because I enjoyed it. And I find that when I'm taking time I'm enjoying it.

On a personal note, Jocelyn has a dental appt tomorrow. Those are always fun. My poor baby hates dentists already and she's 3. :-( She's always going to be at their office-according to them though because her teeth are weak. I can't take away her pain-so the only thing I can do is just be their for her and hold her hand.

I feel much better after the first round. I'm waiting on the second-and hopefully everything comes off smoothly.

No word yet-on You, Me, & Dupree, but I'm hoping I hear something soon. I want that baby to be released sometime this year. It's my new menage.

Saber's Psychic is 10000 words done. I have about 20000 more to go.

Oh and I just read this wonderful book by a new author for me. She is a refreshing voice and I'm so glad I bought it on a spontaneous splurge. :-) It's LINDA WINFREE What Mattered Most, and the book starts off with a bang. Lots of suspense-and emotion. Yeah, I was crying while reading, it's that good. Well not really much of one.

Eva's Wolf is in my hands...and I'm in edit hell LOL. Not fun at all-but the book will be great once it's edited. :-) Saber's Psychic is halfway done. I'm excited about that. That's Book 2 in the paranormal ops series.

I'm still waiting to hear from a publisher I submitted You, Me, & Dupree too. I subbed it last month. It's nerve wracking, waiting to see if the like it.

On a personal note, I finished 3 yes 3 treatments of asthma. I'm now a walking pharmacy lol-with prednisone, albuterol, and ulcer pills in my system. Yeah, I don't eat much because of the nausea mixed with all of these-but hopefully I'm on my way to feeling better.

NEW BOOKS IN 2007: Eva's Wolf is still in editing. The sequel, Saber's Psychic, I'm about 8000 words into. You, Me, and Dupree has been completed and submitted. :-)The sequel to that is Kidnapped which you'll get a sneak peak at the end of the story. Sapphire's Fantasy is a quickie, which will be released this year. But right now I'm concentrating on Saber's Psychic because Book #3 of the parnormal ops unit is a menage and I can't wait to begin that one. Well I have and it's steamy.

BOOKS THAT WILL BE RE-RELEASED: Bound Captive will be released on Feb 9th at www.cobblestone-press.com Dominic's Temptation has been resubmitted to another publisher. It used to be with Venus Press. A Christmas Threesome will be edited and lengthened and will make another debut late 2007.

On a personal note, my daughter is sick. :-( I'm going to have to take her to the hospital. Winter sucks ass-but I've mentioned that already.

On the news this morning, a 36 year old man threw his 2 month old daughter into a trash chute. She died. This happened a couple of blocks from where I work in a housing project. I cried and I knew immediately that the baby girl was in heaven, a place where she felt no pain and had her wings. But then I thought, raising my kids in a world filled with such evil gets harder everyday.

Why can't everyone be kind to each other, be pro-life? A police station was literally one block away from that particular housing project and he could've dropped the baby off, no questions ask! Am I angry? Yes. I want to take my children away to a safe place, where no harm could ever reach them. That's impossible, I know.

I pray for that baby and I pray for the day the world realizes that we can change...that we can live in peace and unity.

3am vomiting. My nose is stuffy, my throat hurts...but it gets worse.

I have to take my 3 year old daughter to the doctor today because I think she sprained her pinky-it's swollen. My poor little teapot. Doctor's office opens at 8:30am.

Life sucks-but hey it could be worse! I so don't want to think about worse right now though. I'm on a gingerale, contact flu, and halls diet.

Hope my teapot is okay and hope my ass feels better next week!

First Happy New Year to everyone!

I've been out of the wind. A death in the family and trying to come to terms with the senseless loss of life has been very hard. And that's the reason why I haven't been around.

Here's a cute story. I went grocery shopping with my daughter Jocelyn. She wanted the strawberry waffles, I showed her the blueberry. She says, "Put those back. I want the strawberry ones. You know I like those. If you don't get me it, I'll trade you in for a new mom." LOL. I had to laugh. Little old lady next to me, said,"that's so cute." Ha. The only reason why she got the strawberry was because she's 3 years old, 27 pounds, and she can eat what she wants LOL.

So I have a Christmas party to attend to on Friday and one on Sunday-and go to my mother's on Monday. I have a busy weekend ahead of me.

So hubby has been gone since Monday. He went to Ohio on business. I miss him, the kids miss him terribly. Jocelyn says to him, "But I thought you were going to take me on the plane," with tears in her eyes. I've had them for 3 days all to myself and I do have to say it's been hard. Getting them up at 5am to dress, getting them to the sitters on my own, and getting myself to work. I need about two days of full sleep.

On a personal front, I went home sick from work on Friday. Stomach virus and fever-so I felt like crap. Took the kids to see the doctor yesterday. My son weighs 65 pounds and is 4ft. 1 inch tall. He did good with shots and didn't cry. My daughter weighs 27 pounds is 3ft. tall. She didn't take the shots that well. They couldn't find her vein, so the crying began. Can't blame her. I was annoyed, they were moving the needle inside her skin. But both kids are healthy, so that is a huge plus. :-)
And for me-I have more tests to be done next month-so crossing fingers.

Christmas shopping is almost done-4 gifts away from being done.

Thanksgiving had it's ups and downs. One major down was the fact that my brother in law got so drunk, he made my daughter cry twice by pulling her hair. He finally stopped when I threatened to punch him in the face- The threat silenced the room pretty quick and he backed off. It's a shame that it took me getting into his face and screaming.Obviously, he doesn't know how to hold his liquor.

Other than that the food and drinks were good :-) No news on the writing front-other that I'm writing. I'm hoping to have 2 books finished before the year ends, so we'll see. :-)

I'm finally done with You, Me, & Dupree. I bet Joy's glad to hear that LOL. :-)

Now I'm working on Saber's Psychic.

Hope to get some writing done before the holiday weekend. I did get some done at home this weekend, but my daughters, "Mommy, I want to sit in your lap," dialogue every few minutes didn't help. LOL.

And we're heading over to my DH's family's home for Thanksgiving. So there will be rice, turkey, gravy, cranberries, pies, pasteles, and even more pies-oh and sweet potatoes too.

Yeah, my dad called and said you coming over? No, daddy, not with 10 grand kids stuck in a two bedroom apartment. I'm honest. :-) If I want to have a good time, then I can't do it. I'll end up with a migrane watching my neices and nephews rumble it out. I did tell him though, "catch ya at christmas." LOL.

So if I don't come back this week-I'm wishing everyone great food, great health, and a peaceful holiday.

On the personal front, I go in for a sonogram on 11/14. I'll be out of work the whole day-it's further testing for my ulcer. So here's crossing fingers that the medication has worked.

Joshua & Jocelyn had wonderful time on Halloween. Jocelyn's face was painted as a cat and Joshua was a vampire. He loved terrorizing his sister and the first thing Jocelyn told me when I picked her up from the sitter was, "Mommy, I'm a cat. And this will never wash off. I'll always be one."

LOL-yeah I was like nice try kid-you're still taking a bath tonight. LOL. :-)

see a special on kids. It was too horrifying to recount word for word, but in NY teens are carrying with blades-yes that's what I said blades in there mouths. They carry it in there cheek-so it would be easier to slice someone or carve there initials into them. These kids were in there early to late teens.

Carlos-my hubby looks at me and says, "We are not sending the kids to public school." I told him, "I don't care if I'm broke, or wearing $5 shoes, my kids will not be attending public school. I will scrape every dime, nickle, and penny to send them to private school."

This was too horrible for words. Joshua is 6 and Jocelyn is 3 and this is the future they have to look forward to?

One man commented that in the year 2010 there will be 15 million kids in there teens which will equal more crime.

All I can say is what is this world coming to? And where are the parents to these kids?

I think I have strep, and I have parents teachers conference to go to -and in the middle of being sick, I have to call the doctor and see if she squeezes me in.

On a good note, Joshua is smart. I'm meeting his teacher today. My cute little boy is reading 2nd grade level. He's in 1st grade.

On another good note, Loose ID has accepted my story-Eva's Wolf. It will be released in 2007. I've already started working on the sequel, which will be titled Saber's Psychic.

I just stared at them in awe. Then I finally jumped in and stated, "Stop the conversation."

Shannon McKenna's latest release HOT NIGHT is how suspense should be written. The woman is an amazing writer, and I couldn't put that book down. Four hours-that's what it took me to read the whole story, while the kids ran ramped. LOL. It was worth it. Now, I can't wait till her next one.

Eva's Wolf is finished as well as another project. So now, I'm redoing Stalking Cara and writing a hot menage titled, You, Me, & Dupree.

A new blog has been started. Between The Sheets Lovely blog, for 4 lovely authors, Anisa Damien, Paz Edwards, Lyric James, and I. We're determined to keep it entertaining and fun! Cross your fingers.

And on the home front-no school today-Jewish Holiday which equals to me, babysitter will be driven out of her mind LOL. Because if that was me, I'd go nuts.

John Q with Denzel Washington, I cried...really cried hard. That is a must see movie. And a movie I DON'T INTEND TO SEE, The Grudge 2. The commercials alone on that scare the crap out of me.

Just got two stories finished and sent off. **crossing fingers**

I'll start on Rafe's War sequel which the readers have asked for. :-) Then it's off to Stone's Obession, the rewriting of Stalking Cara. Yep, you've heard it here first. I'm rewriting the story-ten times better than the first time I wrote it. I admit it needs alot of work and I have grown as a writer, so my mind is whirling with the new places and angles I can take this story. Hopefully, once I'm done I can work on Rachel's Mercernary which is the sequel. And then there is Dominic's Temptation Sequel and the Eva's Wolf sequel. LOL. Yeah I'm going to be busy for the next couple of months...or year.

On the personal front, ulcer is feeling alot better. Thank god for medication. And the family is doing great.

I haven't vanished...

There's alot going on, including an ulcer that decided to attack LOL. I'm on meds, but that apparently is only a temporary solution until they find what type of ulcer it is. Seems that there are lots of different types-yay me! So I had the blood work done, I have a sonogram scheduled, and worse case scenario (it's not an ulcer, it's stones.) Sigh we'll see.

But I'm getting awesome reviews for Dominic's Temptation available at Venus Press. It's the #2 Best Seller for the month of August and Angel from Romance Junkies gave it 4.5 Blue Ribbons.

Lila's Menage is also the #2 Best Seller at Silk's Vault and the latest review on that is 5 Coffee Cups from Coffee Time Romance.

It's definitely cheered me up. Her Lost Lover will be releasing at Cobblestone Press on September 15th. And I've submitted Eva's Wolf to 2 epublishing companies. So now begins the wait. I can now finish A Christmas Threesome.

Yeah I live on stress and caffeine. Least I have the writing that calms me down.

So I went to the doctor yesterday and...

Turns out I may have an ulcer.

They gave me pills, did blood tests, ordered a sonogram, and if worse comes to worse and the tests don't confirm if what I do have is an ulcer, the doctors want to put me to sleep and stick a camera down my throat.

Yep, that's me battling one event after the next.

I'm so trying to look at the upside of things. I'm trying really really hard.

He was a man I've known all my life and was married to my aunt, my mom's sister.

I couldn't sleep last night, thinking of the times we were all together, having fun with my cousins.

It's sad. I told my cousin last night, there are no words that I can say to make it all better, but I'm here for you if you need anything.

He was younger than my dad, and had heart surgery. They had taken veins from his legs, because the circulation in his heart was bad. They wanted to do more surgery, because he developed an infection in his heart, among so many other things that went bad. He said no more surgery, no more dialysis...

My own father is 71, and though I'm not being realistic at all, I don't ever picture my life without him.

I pray that my uncle finds the peace in heaven that he didn't know the last few months he was on earth. And I pray that he knows how much his family cared for him.

It's already been a horrible morning. A water pipe broke behind my apartment wall, forcing water down all the way to the first floor. Please pray that plumber does not break wall-since my apartment already has disgusting creatures visting and this will only force more disgusting creatures to visit.

On a personal note, we finally got in contact with my husband's nephews. Bobby has emailed me :-) and I spoke to Robert too and we're planning on meeting next weekend. I'm so proud of them. Robert starts first semester of college and he wants to be a lawyer. And Bobby will graduate high school this year and then move on to college. He wants to be a psychologist LOL.

Hubby and I are proud and we're going to do some major celebrating. Yay!

Still completing my Christmas menage and Eva's wolf. Been typing away between dentists appointments, work, back to school shopping and every day life. LOL.

She recommended Lisa Kleypas Dreaming of You which I bought and was presently suprised at the way this historical turned out. I won't give away much, but I'd say run and read it.

It's heartwarming, yet sexy with a heated desire between the two main characters that you don't often see in a historical. Lisa pens it well.

On a personal note, just got a release date for Dominic's Tempation. It'll be available on August 16th. It's a brand new IR with suspense woven in and I'm interested to see if the readers like it.

Thursday's here and with it chaos...

Aaron Medina (baby pic below) has acid reflux, which is what the doctor terms it. Don't know too much about it, but when my sister Mary described the symptoms to me, cramping pain in stomach after bottle feeding and non stop crying, it sounded more like colic. Which I'm an expert at. My son Joshua was born crying, nope no smacking in the ass needed for that kid.

So I suffered through months of changes in milk, months of changes in medicine and nothing work. Until the doctor prescribed Alimentum a colic formula and even then it only helped a little.

So Mary is crying like I was-because she's depressed. She's not sleeping, the baby cries so bad he turned blue and she ended up calling 911. **sigh** She asked me to take Aaron for the weekend.

And guess what? Jocelyn my 3 year old didn't take to the baby. She pinched him in the leg. He didn't cry, just kept eating, but still. If I turned my back on Aaron even for a second, she'd go after him. Especially after she explained, "I want to see him walk." LOL

Anyway I'm still a sucker and I'm still going over to her home this weekend to help her out. He really is an adorable little thing.

Some people really don’t know how to behave. When I get pissed, I get vocal. I realize it can be a both good and bad trait, and I try to curb it. Like they say in Spanish “yo no tengo pello en la lengua.” Meaning-I don’t have hair on my tongue-which is a saying for I say it how it is.

It was chaotic this morning.

Someone died on the rail road tracks-shutting transit down. And on top of that, the building where I dropped the kids off to the babysitter, well massive police men and EMT's this morning. Turns out a woman went bonkers, and was throwing her clothes out of the window. I happen to get into the elevator with the sister that went bonkers, and she was also nuts. Cursing in front of my kids who were frighten by the way.

Hope this doesn't set the day for me.

I want today to be good for all.

She recommended to me Standing In The Shadows and Annmarie described the story as "raw." And I have to agree-we were speaking about Conner's sex appeal and Shannon manages to portray the character as real as a man can get. He's that freaking hot-and I'm in love. I snatched up his brother's Seth's story. So that's my latest recommended read. Snatch it up folks!

Writing Update: I'm working on Eva's Wolf. A paranormal-of course...and the fighting scenes have to be really detailed. I sent a scene to a friend Anisa Damien-and she likes, but I'm going to have to reread it ten times before making it perfect.

School Supplies-Got to go shopping soon. Joshua's already told me he wants the "Cars" book bag, after the move. So yeah, "Cars" it is LOL.

Jocelyn-She's 3 and I'm thinking about searching for school that will be willing to take her at that age-and I'm not talking head start-I'm talking one that will challenge her mind academically. Little itty bitty miss only weighs 25lbs but she's brilliant. LOL. Hmmm wonder if the Bronx has something like that, because traveling to Manhattan would be a bit far for a school like that.

well I hope everyone's morning has been good so far.

I'm done with edits for Dominic's Temptation...well second round edits LOL. But I've been blessed with a good editor and she's a whiz at editing.

I'm still working on Eva's Wolf and I gave my friend Joy a peak at A Christmas Threesome. It is dedicated to her :-) Just cause she makes me smile all the time.

I'm in love with JR Ward. And if she wanted me to have another child and name it after her, I'd do it for a copy of Zadist's story. I'd be willing to go through the pain and agony of child birth for this...LOL. September can't come fast enough for me.

Christine Feehan's Night Game was the best in the Ghosts Walker Series. That's my opinion and the emotional ending-well I cried. It's well written and she keeps the book well paced with some kick ass action sequences.

Born on July 2nd 2006, weighing in at 6 pounds 12 ounces and 19 inches long, Aaron Medina is the newest member to my family.

My daughter Jade saw him on Friday. To say she was jealous would be too tame. I had a picture of him on my cell phone, showing his adorable face off when she snatched my phone and said, "Enough of this. We don't need this right now," and then she stormed off. LMAO. It was too funny not to laugh out right.

Joshua took to his cousin with ease. Me, of course I went shopping and bought him clothes LOL. After I asked my sister, to give him to me. LOL.

I read the first book in JR Ward's Brotherhood Series. I didn't read them in order. In my opinon, you don't have to. I'm in love with JR Ward. She's fabulous-her writing superb and she does bring her own angle of vampires into writing. She's great.

Off to do edits on my upcoming Venus Press release. That's it for now.

My daughter almost drowned on Saturday. Lucky for Carlos's quick reflexes he dove in and got to her right away. She was already face down-BUT THANK GOD- she's doing good.

We went to Playland yesterday-the kids had a blast. Though Jocelyn couldn't get on most of the kiddies rides. LOL. She's 3 and she's not on the 36" line mark. Boy, was she pissed and did the boo boo face all day. We're like you have to eat to grow bigger! Joshua almost got lost that day. I turn around to grab an order of Nathan's French Fries-and he's nowhere to be found. I'm screaming my head off, and he's with my sister. Carlos did rip him a new one.

The lesson I learned from these two incidents-it really does only take a second. That or I'm on a serious bad luck streak!

I was watching MTV this weekend and was brought to tears.

I saw an infant horrifyingly skinny, with it’s mouth open searching for milk. And I cried, because the baby’s surrounding was filthy and the country she/he lives in was poor.

Imagine a baby with it’s lips pursed up into an O, searching for the bottle to feed it? And there was no bottle…no milk. Because that’s exactly what I saw.

MTV has aired ONE: The Campaign to Make Poverty History The campaign is truly a terrific one and I started asking myself how I can help.

I thought why not spread the word to every yahoo group, and blog that I can. Spreading the word can only help.

Different thoughts on a new day.

I bought a book this weekend-a print one from a series...I was disappointed. There was barely any sex in the book. :-(

I had a good 30th birthday. We went out to dinner...I had fish the kids had shrimp and that makes for a happy family LOL. Couldn't fit desert because I ate too much but that's okay. I'm allowed to-it being a special day and all.

James has a huge dental appt tomorrow. :-( He's 6 and there giving him laughing gas. I googled laughing gas-and it has no lasting side effects. Sigh-my kids were born with bad teeth-especially Jade-and she also goes in tomorrow for two fill ins-she's only 3. But at least she's eating better now because of it and gaining weight. That is a plus.

And for those of you who want to know what I'm working on...My first werewolf book and a Christmas novella and yeah at the same time. I keep saying I'm going to finish others that I started and then something new pops into my head and I go with the flow.

My little man graduated Kindergarten today.

I was a proud momma. I waved and blew kisses from my seat. James just blushed and stared, and whispered into his classmate's ear LOL.

I heard him say, "that's my mom, the one who's blowing the kisses." LOL. I couldn't help it.

He had sky blue dressy pants on with a white and light blue stripe shirt and little man shoes. I can't believe he's six already.

He went on stage and was singing," we're going to 1st grade, and it's right upstairs." lmao, I thought it was pretty catchy. He was a welcomer for the parents, and he sang a song called boogie woogie oogie lol, but the funniest part was when he shook his tushy to that tune.

Ah, yep I'm a proud momma. My kids are my life, and James is moving on right up.

To those of you who are interested and wanted to know the outcome. I got a certified letter to my job today. Conveniently, the from address was slightly ripped, so you can't make out who sent it to me. But you can see that it's from the owner.

It's a blank money order. COMPLETELY BLANK. Not even signed. But wait I haven't gotten to the best part of it yet!

The money order receipt was still attached! So yep, I could've been a bitch and said I never got it. But no shucks, I'm actually a nice gal so I won't say that.

I did get it, completely blank but yes I got it. Off to the bank I go, with a money order made out by me. Course I told the owner of OMP, "You do realize I have paypal. It's in all of my author information sheets. I also mentioned the blank money order."

Her response, "You can simply fill in the info, no biggie on my part, as long as you got your money that's all that matters to me."

Okie Dokie...But here's some advice, in case you happen to ever come across my blog.

WHEN DEALING WITH MONEY, TRIPLE CHECK WHAT YOU DO. MISTAKES DO HAPPEN, BUT YOU DID A COUPLE OF MISTAKES IN JUST ONE ENVELOPE. NEVER EVER LEAVE A RECEIPT ATTACHED TO THE MONEY ORDER, BECAUSE THEN THERE WOULD BE NO TRACE OF PURCHASE AND ALWAYS....ALWAYS SIGN.

Weekend From Hell

I'm sitting at the dentist getting two impressions of my front tooth because I'm having the real ones done, and they need to be sent to a lab.

So I look like the hag, from Lord of the Rings. I don't know pick anyone of them-they are all toothless.

So I have my fake one's removed and in comes this dark haired blue eyed dentist assistant, who has a color chart out and comparing my natural teeth color to the new ones that are going to be made.

Yep, I'm drooling, I have a bib on and I'm embarrassed as hell.

So I go home, still in pain, stupid dentist didn't give me vicodin. Luckily, I had a spare bottle and took 3. Yes, you read right 3. Everything after that was a smooth ride. Didn't feel a thing. I did however thought for a moment that I had twin daughters instead of one. LMAO. Yeah, thought I saw a spare child running around.

So vicodin gets a 5 thumbs up for me. EXCELLENT for pain.

And for those of you who are still wondering (and it's only cause I promised to keep you up to date) No. OMP still has not paid.

Here's to hoping your Monday is a hell of alot better than my weekend.
